• No software to install:
  Use any plain text email service, including all popular email clients and webmail services, to send SMS texts even if you have an email disclaimer or signature.

  Use mobile numbers, phonebook nicknames, or distribution lists as recipients.

  Make the message appear to come from a telephone number or a name.

• Extended messages up to 459 characters long:
  Access to the full 160 characters of each message or 459 characters maximum allowed with multipart messages.
• Receive SMS for free - complete 2-way functionality:
  The recipient of your text message can reply (at a cost to them of a standard message), and the reply SMS will be routed back to the original email address that sent the outgoing SMS. Alternatively, you can simply record all incoming messages in the web account instead of sending emails. The ability to receive replies is a free service available to all Email2SMS customers.
• Full delivery reporting:
  Keep track of when text messages are delivered or if certain numbers fail. Delivery reports can be sent back via email or simply recorded in your account.
• Web Administration Account:
  The Email2SMS Administration Account is an online web interface. It allows you to change the default configuration of your service, set up distribution lists containing unlimited mobile numbers, view a record of incoming and outgoing SMS messages. Administrators can send text messages online with this interface, and set up auto-responders and subscriptions on Virtual Numbers.
• Online phonebook:
  Associate a nickname with a mobile number to text people quickly. Generate distribution lists from your Phonebook. Changing a Phonebook number will automatically give you the option to update any distribution lists containing the previous number.
• Export records to CSV:
  Search and sort all incoming and outgoing SMS text messages, and export text messages to CSV file format for easy opening in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
• Virtual Numbers:
  Purchase Virtual Numbers online in your CardBoardFish.com Account and assign them to Email2SMS. Messages sent to your Virtual Number can be sent to your default email address, or simply stored in your Administration Account.
• Auto-responders & Subscriptions:
  Send text messages automatically in response to anyone who texts your Virtual Numbers. Set up subscriptions on Virtual Numbers that allow people to add and remove themselves to/from distribution lists by text message
• Manage SMS campaigns:
  Send out batches of text messages with ease, and group all SMS replies together for each text campaign. You can also rent a Virtual Number (dedicated incoming SMS number) for use with your campaigns.
• Send SMS text messages worldwide:
  Text messages can be sent to any destination in over 200 countries.

Designed to allow for rapid deployment, Email2SMS (email-2-SMS, SMS-2-email and web-SMS) does not require the installation of any additional software. As a result it is fully OS (Operating System) independent, functioning flawlessly on Windows, Linux and Apple Mac OS X amongst others, and will never consume you or your staff's valuable time with compatibility issues or software updates. Any computer or device that allows you to send emails is all you need to send out or receive SMS messages.

Email2SMS's administration interface allows you to do more than just change configuration options. It gives you the ability to maintain separate passwords for your system users and administrators, and can even allow system users to operate without a password by instead validating them according to their email server address. In addition, the administration account tracks all text messages leaving and entering the system. SMS text messages can be given a campaign ID when they are sent to allow for the easy production of reports that can then be downloaded in CSV format, ready for manipulation in your spreadsheet application of choice. Administrators can also send SMS messages from the web interface, ideal for starting a text message batch send to a distribution list, while forwarding confirmations and replies to an email address of their choosing.

A unique feature of this system is its scalability, allowing large workforces to communicate efficiently. For every SMS text sent, the email address of the sender is recorded so that any SMS replies can be routed back to the correct person via email, completely free of charge to you. The person who replies is charged their standard network rate.

Email disclaimers and signatures are commonly added to the end of emails. By placing the word "END" on a line of its own after your text message, the system will exclude any further text after that line.

* A Virtual Number is not required to receive replies to messages you send. It is sometimes useful for marketing campaigns or user initiated information request.
