Text from your own mobile number.
Supports two-way messaging.
Custom alphanumeric sender ID.
Message up to 10 recipients at the same time.

Installation

All that is required to run Java Desktop SMS is Java version 6 or above. To check what version of Java you have installed, upgrade to the latest version or perform a new Java installation please visit http://www.java.com/ and click ‘Free Java Download’.
If you have not already, download JDesktopSMS.zip unpack (unzip) the package and then continue to the Configuration step.

Configuration

Locate the JDesktopSMS.jar file on your computer or device. You may wish to move the file to a more suitable location if it was downloaded to a standard download destination, such as the desktop.
Open Java Desktop SMS by launching the JDesktopSMS.jar file, done on most operating systems by double-clicking the icon. Once opened, click Tools on the menu bar and then Options to begin configuration.
Enter your CardBoardFish Business Account username and password. The Default country code allows you to send messages to mobiles in that country in the local format. For example, code 44, the UK, will allow you to send messages from the Java Desktop SMS to numbers starting 07 rather than 447.
Select whether or not you would like to receive delivery receipts.
You can now choose if you would like your name, or some other text, or your mobile number to be displayed as the sender of your messages. If you choose 'Mobile Number,' enter your mobile number in the box provided and click 'Submit.' A pin number will be sent to the mobile number you wish to use, and once you have received it, type it into the PIN Number box provided and click 'OK'. If you would like to use a name, click on the 'Name' option and then type in some text of your choice. Click ‘OK’ to close the Options screen. Java Desktop SMS is now ready for use.

Sending an SMS

Enter your recipients, separated by commas, up to a maximum of 10. You can also add recipients from your contacts by either typing in the name (separating them by a comma if you are sending to more than one) or selecting the contact from the drop down list. Enter the message you would like to send into the Message box and click 'Send Message' to transmit it.
