Download and then double-click CardBoardFish SMS Widget.zip.
Double-click CardBoardFish SMS Widget.
On the Widget Installer message box, click Install. You will see a preview of the widget on your dashboard. Click Keep. You can now drag the widget to a suitable place on your dashboard and configure it.

Roll your mouse over the widget. Click on the small ‘i’ that appears in the bottom right-hand corner.
The widget will flip over and display the Preferences pane. Here, you can configure the CardBoardFish SMS Widget and enter your CardBoardFish Personal Account information.
First, enter a Sender. You can either enter up to 11 alphanumeric characters or a mobile number to create a Sender ID.
If you enter a mobile number, or a dedicated incoming number purchased from CardBoardFish, you will be prompted to ‘Get Validation Code’. Enter your username and password and then click this button. A code is sent via text message to your mobile phone, which you must then enter into the space provided. If the number is a dedicated incoming number your code will be received by the widget and displayed on the screen. You can read it later by clicking Inbox, the envelope icon on the left hand side.
If you have not already, enter your CardBoardFish Personal Account username and password.
A Default country code means you can send messages to mobiles in that country in local format. For example, entering 44, the country code for the United Kingdom, means you can send text messages to numbers beginning 07 rather than having to use the International prefix 447.
Finally, select whether you would like the widget to receive delivery confirmations or not. Delivery confirmations will ‘pop up’ on your desktop and also be recorded in your message history. Click Done when you are finished.

Enter your recipients, separated by commas, up to a maximum of 10. If you have the recipient in your Contacts you can just type their name. Alternatively, you can go to Contacts and add recipients from there. See Other features for more details.
Enter your message in the large message area. If your text is up to 160 characters in length it will be sent as one message. If your text is longer than 160 characters then it will be automatically sent as two or three messages up to a total of 459 characters. These ‘long’ messages are automatically reassembled on the recipient’s handset. Below the message input box you will find information on both how many characters are remaining and how many messages your text will use.
Finally, click Send to transmit your message. Your balance will be updated automatically, and can also be updated at any time by clicking the Update button. You can click Inbox to read any incoming messages you have received to your dedicated number, if applicable, and click Clear to reset all fields and start again

Contacts. Roll your mouse over the widget and click the small ‘i’ that appears in the bottom right-hand corner. Click the Contacts icon, second from the top on the left hand side, to view your Contacts. Simply enter a Name and a Number and click Add contact to insert new entries. You can click on existing entries and then Delete contacts to remove them, or Use selected to add them to the recipients of your message.
Inbox. Click the Inbox button to go directly to your Inbox. When a dedicated incoming number is verified to your widget, by entering it as the Sender in Preferences, all received messages will be displayed in your Inbox. Select messages to View or Delete them. You can also empty your entire inbox via the bottom provided, and force the widget to check for any new incoming messages that it has not displayed to you yet.
History. Roll your mouse over the widget and click the small ‘i’ that appears in the bottom right-hand corner. Click the History icon, at the bottom on the left hand side, to see all messages you have sent along with delivery information if you opted for it. Select messages to View or Delete them, or clear your entire history with the button provided.
