Sales Executive


Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 Basic OTE £23,000pa plus benefits.

This position generates revenue and growth by securing new business accounts as a member of the EMEA sales team with primary focus on the UK and Ireland.


Key Requirements:


  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years sales experience (hunter) in the mobile messaging or hosted technology services field.
  • Preference for solid understanding of mobile and/or messaging space.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to influence others, manage stakeholders and collaborate.
  • Working knowledge of saleforce.com
  • Commitment to teamwork, entrepreneurial and creative approach to work and devotion to teamwork and collaboration.

Product Manager – SMS Messaging


The Product Manager generates revenue by investigating, selecting and driving the development of SMS Messaging products for Mblox. This position will be involved and responsible for leading all steps of the product lifecycle.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for devising and executing on a winning plan to grow the Mblox market share globally for the entire SMS product line.
  • Responsible for the Product Holistically including all operational processes, including working closely with department managers to ensure they optimize their processes in accordance with product goals.
  • Create collateral, FAQ’s, presentations, and white papers that can be leveraged by sales people, marketing people and executives.
  • Undertaking all aspects of the role of (Technical) Product Owner on multiple product development work streams, participating in Agile (Scrum) processes.
  • Becoming the go-to Subject Matter Expert for a suite of related products and capabilities. The market, the competition and the associated trends.
  • Creating, managing and prioritising a backlog of user stories which reflect the aims of the business and the product road map both short and long term, in order to achieve business value to the bottom line.
  • Interfacing with internal business stakeholders and external vendors (where required) at all levels of seniority to establish the detailed user stories and to prioritise effectively.
  • Undertaking analysis of current functionality of Mblox’s technical platform with a view to engineer requirements for the backlog that delivers the best possible ROI.

Key Requirements:


  • University degree in Marketing or Computer Science or related field coupled with 3 – 5 years experience in full-lifecycle product management with exposure to the SMS Application-To-Person (A2P) industry, both from a commercial and technical point of view.
  • Good overall understanding of business economics including solid understanding of sales including lead generation, online sales and inside sales.
  • Experience with, and understanding of, Agile project management methodology - -preference for Agile certification. Solid understanding of backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of other agile techniques (e.g. Kanban, DSDM, XP).
  • Demonstrated successful roles in delivery of web-based customer service solutions.
  • Good understanding of iterative development and other software development processes and procedures.
  • Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
  • Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with proven ability to develop relationships, influence others, manage stakeholders and facilitate groups.
  • Keen sense of urgency and track-record for meeting commitments.
  • Commitment to teamwork, entrepreneurial and creative approach to work and devotion to teamwork and collaboration.

Software Developer


Salary: £21,000 - £22,000 PA.

The Software Developer position is part of the Core Messaging Development Team responsible for translating user stories into documented, tested, scalable and stable code. The position reports to the Engineering Manager.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for taking requirements in the form of user stories and writing well documented, tested, robust, stable and scalable software code.
  • Develop Unit Tests as part of Software Development Process.
  • Follow industry standard software design methodologies for development (e.g., Agile Methodologies, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Participate in documenting software deliverables.
  • Participate in release and iteration planning meetings with team.
  • Pair with other engineers to solve complex problems.
  • Work with test engineers to develop automated system test cases.
  • Work with architects and developers from other teams to ensure that the software design delivers the systems requirements and that it fits the overall solution architecture.

Key Requirements:


  • University degree (BS/MS or equivalent) within Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • 5+ year of experience in software development is required, mainly in JavaSE and Perl or similar scripting environments, while C, C++ and JavaScript is also considered a plus.
  • Experience from SMS and especially Application to Person (A2P) solutions is a big plus.
  • Web development technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, HTTP, CGI, HTML, JS/CSS, REST
  • Network programming with TCP, UDP, IP, SSL, Certificates.
  • Experience working with high performance multithreaded applications.
  • Experience from MySQL (Percona), and experience from any NoSQL DB, preferably MongoDB.
  • Operating systems administration skill level for Linux/, Mac OS and Windows.
  • Experience working in development environments using Eclipse, Subversion/GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Capistrano.
  • Good Object-Oriented design as well as structured programming knowledge.
  • Familiarity with software design concepts and patterns.
  • Experience of working within agile environments such as Scrum.
  • Good knowledge of unit testing, mocking and continuous deployment.
  • Scaling, performance and concurrency, especially multi-threaded programming.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills coupled with technical discipline and keen attention to detail is essential.
  • Experience working with TDD is an advantageExperience of automated test tools (Jmeter, Selenium).
  • Experienced in using source code control; dependency management, auto build environments required.
