Configuring Windows Desktop SMS

If the Windows Desktop Sender is not already running, open it by navigating to the folder in the start menu (usually 'CardBoardFish\Desktop SMS Sender\Desktop SMS Sender'). Once it has opened, click Tools on the menu bar, and then Options to begin configutation.

Enter your CardBoardFish Personal Account username and password. The Default country code allows you to send messages to mobiles in that country in the local format. For example, code 44, the UK, will allow you to send messages from the Windows Desktop Sender to numbers starting 07 rather than 447.

Select whether or not you would like to receive delivery receipts.

You can now choose if you would like your name, or some other text, or your mobile number to be displayed as the sender of your messages. If you choose 'Mobile Number,' please read the article Registering a mobile number with Windows Desktop SMS. If you would like to use a name, click on the 'Name' option and then type in some text of your choice. Click ‘OK’ to close the Options screen.

Windows Desktop SMS is now ready for use.
