How can I put my local numbers into the right format for the Batch Sender in Excel?
If you have collected mobile numbers in Excel and they are stored as a number then any leading zeros will have been automatically removed. For example, UK number 07624808182 becomes 7624808182. If leading zeros are still showing, you can
right-click on the column header and select
Format cells... - then change the format to
Number with
zero decimal places.
To get the resulting number into International format for the Batch Sender, do the following:
- Right-click on the column header and select Format cells
- Select category Custom
- Enter the correct country code for your numbers, i.e. 44, followed by hash, i.e. 44#
- Click OK
Your numbers will now be formatted starting with the country code, i.e. 447624808182. This column can then be copied and pasted into a new list in the Batch Sender.
