I was charged more than I expected for a message, what caused this?
This usually occurs when a message was too long to be sent as a single message and had to be split into several parts, in which case you would be charged for each part since they count as individual messages.
A message may be longer than you expect if certain symbols or special characters, such as the Euro symbol (€) or the Yen symbol (¥), are used since these special symbols require two characters rather than one to be displayed. This may increase the message size over the maximum for one message and lead to it being split resulting in two messages.
