Importing a CSV file

Overview

The Windows Batch Sender can import comma separated values (CSV) files. Once imported, CSV files can be manipulated and saved as distribution lists for later use.

Steps

1. Start the Windows Batch Sender
2. Click on the 'Manage Lists' tab
3. Click the 'List Manager' button
4. Click the 'Browse' button
5. Make sure that the 'File Type' drop-down is set to 'Comma separated value (CSV)'
6. Locate the file on your computer/network share/removable media
7. Select the file and click 'Open'
8. Process the file normally

Please note

The Windows Batch Sender will only import the first six items for each entry in a CSV file.
