Manually typing or editing a CSV file
Typing a new CSV file
A new list can be typed in CSV format by clicking on the 'Manage Lists' tab and typing the comma separated data into the 'Numbers and Data' box.
Data can also be pasted in from a CSV file opened in a text editor such as Notepad.
The Windows Batch Sender will keep track of the number of items entered and adjust this count depending on whether the first line of data in the 'Numbers and Data' box is an item or represents the column headings.
If column headings are not present, the Windows Batch Sender will add default column headings when the information is saved.
When the data has been input, the list should be given a name using the 'list name' box. Next to this is a radio button which will set whether the Windows Batch Sender will treat the first row of information in 'Numbers and Data' as data or as column headings.
When you are finished, you can click on 'Save' to store the list for later use.
Editing a distribution list as a CSV file
An existing distribution list, regardless of how it was originally input into the Windows Batch Sender, can be edited in CSV form. To edit the list, click on the 'Manage Lists' tab and then select the list to be edited from the drop-down list.
Please note
The first piece of information in each row should be the destination
MSISDN number including country code (for example, 4477928000000).
The Windows Batch Sender will perform basic checks on the information typed to ensure that the first piece of information for each item is a suitable destination number.
Only the first six items for each entry in the CSV data will be saved.
