Registering a mobile number with the OS X Widget

If you want to set the 'display number' option of the OS X Widget to a mobile number you will need to confirm that you are the owner of the number you want to use.

You can do this by bringing up the options for the widget by clicking on the small 'i' in the bottom right. If you change the 'Sender' field to be your mobile number you will have the option to verify that you are the owner of the number.

A confirmation code will be sent through to the number you typed, and all you need to do is type the code into the 'Enter code' box and click 'Confirm Validation Code'.

Make sure to type the code correctly. You can click on 'submit' if you need to send the confirmation code to your number again.

If you are using a Virtual Number, then your confirmation code will be sent to your Inbox in the Widget. The OS X Widget will alert you when new messages arrive in your Inbox. Simply open the message to get your confirmation code.
