Sending out a batch

Overview

When a batch has been set up it can then be sent out using one of three commands. When the batch will begin sending depends on which command is used. The commands are listed below:

Send Now

This will send the batch to the 'Current Batches' tab and, if no batch is currently sending, the batch will begin sending in a few moments. If one or more batches are currently sending or queued for sending then this batch will be added to the end of the queue. Each batch in the queue will be sent out in turn when the previous batch is completed.

Create and Pause

The batch will be sent to the 'Current Batches' tab and will be paused. This batch will stay in the 'Current Batches' tab until it is deleted or resumed. When the batch is resumed it will be added to the current batch queue if one or more batches are currently sending or queued for sending or will begin sending if no batches are currently queued.

Schedule

A menu will appear for specifying a time and date for the batch to be sent out. The batch will then be added to the queue on the 'Current Batches' tab. When the date and time specified is reached, the batch will become active and will begin sending. Please note- if a batch is currently sending when the date and time specified is reached, that batch will run and complete before the scheduled batch will start.
