Setting up a Message

Overview

Messages can be set up from the 'New Batch' screen, and can use either a distribution list or destination numbers which have been entered manually.

A batch of messages will need to be set up before it is sent.

Delivery receipts

Delivery receipts can be requested for each message by checking the 'Delivery Receipts' check box.

Message type

Messages can be sent as plain GSM, binary or Unicode UCS2. The Windows Batch Sender will check the text of the message to make sure that the characters entered are appropriate for the message type. Both binary and Unicode messages should be entered as hex characters.

The Windows Batch Sender will also keep count of how long the message is and how many messages will be needed to send it (up to a maximum of three messages).
