Uninstalling the Windows SMS Server service

You can remove the WindowsSmsServer service from your computer at any time by stopping the WindowsSmsServer service (using the Services control panel applet):

...then starting the Windows SMS Server application from the Start Menu. If you click on Configuration, you will be able to remove the Windows SMS Server service.

This will not affect the Windows SMS Server application.

Uninstalling the Windows SMS Server program

This will remove the entire Windows SMS Server suite from your computer. You can remove the Windows SMS Server suite at any time using Add/Remove programs from control panel.

Please note you should stop the WindowsSmsServer service first, if it is running.
