What will happen to my currently sending, scheduled and/or completed batches if I quit the Windows Batch Sender?

Overview

Currently sending and completed batches are stored in memory for speed and so are not automatically saved to disk. The Windows Batch Sender will not remember currently sending, completed or scheduled batches once exited. Only distribution lists and user details are saved to disk.

Solution

The Windows Batch Sender should be allowed to continue running until all current and scheduled batches are completed. Once completed, the results can be viewed and exported if required and the application can then be safely closed. The Windows Batch Sender will not be affected if it is closed whilst a batch is currently sending or is scheduled to be sent, but the details of the batch will be permanently lost.
