Why was my SMS sent multiple times?
This is most commonly caused by having two manually created
.SMS files with the same name. The Windows
SMS Server then removes only one of the files after processing and continues trying to send the second. You should manually delete the message from the Outgoing folder on your computer.
.SMS filenames should always be unique. The Windows
SMS Server interface will always create unique filenames but manually created files must also adhere to this. For more information about naming
.SMS files please consult the
Windows SMS Server User Guide.
If your message is only being sent once but is being received multiple times please check our article
